I wrote this song really late one night. It has two meanings, and its message was my heart's cry that evening. I think we struggle with not only the universal need to feel God's presence, but also the desire to have relationship with a person who loves us and cares for us. Sometimes it's hard to wait for our soulmate and it's also hard to wait on the Lord. People love instant gratification and we like to see things happen 'now' not 'later'. Having patience is so difficult, yet the Word says that we are blessed when we wait, and that we are blessed when we hunger and thirst. Patience perpetuates trust, and in that trust comes a more solid relationship with Christ.
